We offer one of the largest formalwear inventories in the country, featuring a curated selection of off-the-rack gowns and made-to-order designs, with sizes ranging from 000 to 26 (by request). From sale gowns starting at just $99 to exclusive statement pieces, our showroom caters to every budget — all within a premium, boutique-style experience.

This guide explains what to expect during your visit — and why we operate differently from traditional formalwear stores to maintain exclusivity, quality, and exceptional service.

Enjoy a one-hour fitting in our Gold Coast showroom, styled by our expert team in a warm, fashion-forward environment.

Guests are welcome to try on as many gowns as they like. Bring screenshots, Pinterest boards, saved styles, or TikTok inspiration — your stylist will help you navigate silhouettes and fabrics that flatter your body and suit your event.

Our goal is to help you find the perfect gown — not just any gown — and ensure you own the spotlight in One Honey.


SHOWROOM COLLECTION VS ONLINE RANGE

Our website showcases thousands of formal dress styles, with new arrivals added weekly across ready-to-ship, made-to-order, and pre-order collections.

To deliver a premium in-store experience, the Gold Coast showroom features a curated edit of our most in-demand styles — and is always packed with dresses available to take home the same day.

Not all website styles are available in person. If you’re hoping to try on a specific gown, size, or colour, please reach out via Live Chat or our Contact Page before your visit.

Even if a gown isn’t physically in-store, our stylists can assist you in ordering it during your fitting — including checking live stock, production timelines, and placing your order with confidence.

We also offer an exclusive off the rack in-store SALE collection, with prices starting from just $99.


BOOKING IN ADVANCE

As one of Australia’s most in-demand formalwear destinations, our appointment calendar fills quickly — especially during Saturdays, school holidays, and peak formal season (April–August & November).

Walk-ins are NOT accepted, and appointments are required, even if you just want to have a look.

If you’re travelling or have your eye on a specific style, we recommend booking early. For a more relaxed, extended fitting, weekday appointments offer greater flexibility and quieter surroundings.

Note: Many styles are produced in limited quantities. Popular gowns may sell out or be retired mid-season — booking early helps secure your preferred gown before it's gone.


GUESTS UNDER 18

All guests under 18 must attend with a parent or legal guardian — unless they are paying for their gown independently.

To ensure the best experience for every guest, we kindly ask that each customer bring no more than two viewing guests — typically a parent and your most trusted fashion advisor. This helps us maintain a calm, supportive environment and allows our team to deliver dedicated styling attention.


FITTING ROOM EXPERIENCE & PHOTOGRAPHY ETIQUETTE

Our boutique includes semi-private change rooms, designed for comfort, movement, and styling ease. Mirrors are positioned just outside each room to allow for parental feedback and real-time stylist support.

If you prefer a quieter or sensory-friendly experience, we recommend booking midweek, outside of peak periods.

Private group appointments are also available by request — perfect for families or friends shopping together in a more exclusive, personalised setting.

To maintain a respectful space for all guests, photos and videos are not permitted during fittings. Once your purchase is confirmed, our team will gladly assist with a mini photoshoot at the end of your appointment.

You can also preview your chosen style using our exclusive virtual fitting app, showing the gown on your frame in your selected colour and size — ideal for sharing with friends or confirming your look.


CURVE & PLUS SIZE GOWNS

We proudly offer a dedicated Curve Collection in-store, with try-on samples in sizes 18 to 24 and a range of gowns available for same-day purchase.

While not all collections include extended sizing, we prioritise inclusive options wherever possible and clearly label all Curve styles in-store with Curve rack signage.

Online, our Curve and Plus Size range extends to size 26, with options across ready-to-ship, made-to-order, and pre-order formats. Each product page will display available sizing details.

If your preferred sample isn’t available in-store, your stylist can help place a special order, confirm sizing and colour options, and ensure your gown arrives in time for your event.


NEW ARRIVALS & MADE-TO-ORDER GOWNS

To ensure exclusivity, colour flexibility, and greater value, many of our newest arrivals are offered as made-to-order gowns.

This model — developed in response to parent feedback — allows us to offer more styles and colours while reducing stock waste and keeping prices accessible.

Made-to-order gowns are produced in standard USA sizing, not custom-fit. Your stylist will help you select the correct size using the designer’s chart, with the option to arrange local alterations if needed.

During your fitting:

  • Most showroom samples are AU size 14, clipped to reflect accurate fit — similar to a bridal boutique
  • Production averages 2–4 months, depending on style and embellishment
  • Some styles may be available off-the-rack — ask your stylist during your session
  • Choose between a complimentary clear slip or an upgraded One Honey garment bag for in-store pickup
  • Shipped gowns arrive brand new, in either a presentation box or protective garment bag, depending on fabric and size
  • Signature on delivery is included at our cost for all gown shipments
  • Rush orders may be available, depending on style and timeline
  • Dress care essentials (fashion tape, gloves, steamers) and accessories (clutches, jewellery, sunglasses) are available in-store

Note: Our showroom samples are for fit and style reference only. Some may show light wear due to high guest volume. Your gown will be newly made, never tried on, and hand-checked prior to shipment.


PAYMENT & DRESS REGISTRATION

To secure your gown and register it to your school or event, full payment is required at the time of ordering. We do not hold or reserve gowns without payment.

All dresses purchased from One Honey are formally registered to your school or event to guarantee exclusivity.

PARKING INFORMATION

Complimentary on-site customer parking is available, with additional street parking nearby.

Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to allow time for check-in — especially on weekends or during busy school holiday periods.
